FOODBANK PLUS

The foodbank at the church has been in operation since 2012 where we partner with Edinburgh City Mission in helping those in our community who are struggling for a variety of reasons and have a genuine need for assistance with food. We have an awesome team of volunteers from a variety of churches who serve each week. This is not a “drop in” service but a referral only service where we team up with support agencies across the city to best help our clients. We are open every Tuesday from 10am until 1pm and we are a part of a network of Foodbank’s plus who operate each day throughout Edinburgh and beyond.

The foodbank is supported completely on donations of food and finance from all sorts of places and people. From churches to individuals and a massive contribution over many years from customers and staff of Sainsbury’s Blackhall. If you wish to donate then get in touch.

We are foodbank plus because we seek to support our clients in different ways with many contacts to point people in the right direction for any additional support needed. We also each Tuesday have Citizens Advice Scotland on site with a specific remit of assisting our clients around fuel poverty.
